  Lie on a fly! Judy was shocked and upset when she received a phone call from Steve's friend, saying that Steve was in the hospital. ** Welcome to Fami LIES!**   This blog is a series exploring the various little lies that happen in all relationships in all families.   We all know that families are complicated. They're made up of people who love each other, but who also have their own unique personalities, quirks, and secrets. It's no wonder that little lies sometimes creep into the mix.   Some of these lies are harmless. For example, you might tell your mom that you love her cooking, even when it's not very good. Or you might tell your dad that you're doing well in school, even when you're struggling.   Other lies can be more serious. For example, you might lie to your parents about where you're going or who you're with. Or you might lie to your siblings about something you did or said.   No matter how big or small, lies can have a negative impact on relationships. They can lead to distrust, resentment, and conflict.   But why do we lie to our families?   There are many reasons. We might
